Playgrounds

The lawns of the Archaeological Park offer a lot of room for romping around and playing. The new water playground promises great excitement too. And all the small kids are sure to love the new big bouncy pillow.

In the APX, there is enough room for children to romp around and discover new things everywhere.

 

The big wooden playground needs to be completely rebuilt and will unfortunately not be available before 2009. Since early summer of this year, the park has offered two new attractions instead:

The new water playground mixes fun and education. Children can play with ditches, pumps, sluices and the Archimedean screw and get to know some elements of Roman hydraulic engineering in the process. And as they are unlikely to stay dry, be sure to bring a towel.

In addition, a large bouncy pillow is pumped up every day for enjoyment by young and old.

While the children are romping around, adults may relax on the benches and tables in the shadow of the trees or lie on the grass. A state-of-the-art visitor restroom including washbasins and nursery tables is available for cleaning up the kids.

Together with the large barbecue hut that will be relocated towards the playground area, a new forum for playing, having fun and relaxing is being developed in the centre of the park. We wish you and your loved ones an exciting and relaxing day.

The new adventure playground will be rebuilt by 2009. The new water playground and a large bouncy pillow are already in place.
